Publications

The Publications Portfolio acts as a bridge of communication between the Commerce Society (ComSoc) and the Business faculty students, here at the University of Sydney. As the name suggests, we are in charge of producing various newsletters and publications for perusal by all Business Faculty students.

We do this through the distribution of different documents such as:

Our fortnightly email: ComMunicate. ComMunicate provides up-to-date information and notifications, pertinent to Business Faculty students, and beyond. These predominantly include Careers events, such as the various Mentoring Programs (e.g. Women in Banking), Networking Opportunities provided by our sponsors to our students. Sports and Social events are also advertised, as well as Career Opportunities (such as advertised jobs), special offers from our sponsors, especially for ComSoc members, and of course, free barbeques and other freebies on campus!
The Careers Guide. The Careers Guide is an annual publication, produced by the partnership of ComSoc's Careers and Publications Portfolios. This guide features information for students regarding general tips on how to apply for jobs, write cover letters and resumes and prepare for interviews; as well as information regarding different firms such as graduate positions, as well as company profiles and application dates.

Through these, ComSoc aims to provide students with information and insight into how to make the most of their time at the University of Sydney’s Business Faculty.
